Children sick from edibles on the rise in Alabama

The Alabama Poison Information Center, an extension of Children’s of Alabama, said they received 16,590 calls last year regarding children under the age of six. That made up 47.5% of their calls in 2022. While THC and CBD edibles were not one of the center’s top ten substances that children under six were exposed to last year, it is on the rise.
