Dogs who receive daily doses of CBD see “significant reductions” in stress and anxiety related to car travel, according to a new study. Twenty healthy, adult dogs, 11 males and 9 females of 3 breeds (8 Labrador Retrievers, 7 Beagles, and 5 Norfolk Terriers), with a mean age of 4.2 yr (ranging from 1.2 to 9.4 yr) participated in the study. The 2022 Monitoring the Future (MTF) survey—which is conducted by the University of Michigan with funding from the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)—found that rates of past-year Cannabis use “remained stable for all three grades surveyed,” remaining below pre-pandemic usage levels even as more state markets opened and expanded for adults.
