My subconscious addiction to pain and suffering came to light a couple of years ago. After a highly toxic relationship ending in my life, I realized I didn’t know anything but sorrow.
My 27 years of life weren’t sad in reality, but my mindset was only able to acknowledge and connect to the suffering. As if my self-worth lived here, trapped with a blindfold around her eyes, unable to see her REAL reality and what she deserved.
This loop started with an eating disorder at 16 that conditioned my mindset to believe “this was me.”
The sadness, pain & suffering grounded me into the frame of who I thought I was.
I made this v-blog today, and I’m writing this because I think just about everyone can get sucked into this cycle.
Sometimes we’re raised around fear, pain, or sadness, and so we grow to believe that “this is our life,” but it’s not! We just haven’t developed a healthy, strong connection to our happiness, joy, and peace yet.
Don’t learn this the hard way as I did.
