Minnesota’s Cannabis laws had a major change on August 1st of 2023, and a lot of citizens of MN have been very confused. Highnorth Dispensary’s founder, Tyler Thompson, took to 93X’s Half-Assed Morning Show to clear up some of the questions.
In essence, Marijuana possession is decriminalized and home growing cannabis is legal. The buying and selling of marijuana flower and THC vape cartridges is illegal until the state forms a regulatory board to govern the cannabis market. Once there is a governing entity, licenses can be purchased by dispensaries for compliant, legal distribution of cannabis. This is expected to begin in Q1 of 2025.
Until then, Highnorth has a large and ever-growing selection of legal THC products in the form of edibles, beverages, and tictures! We have 3 locations: Uptown Minneapolis, Cottage Grove, and Inver Grove Heights (Vapour + Dispensary).
