Today I am sharing a southern classic recipe Collard Greens.Collard greens are loaded with vitamins,and very flavorful.It’s slowly cooked overnight in a slow cooker in a delicious broth with added smoke turkey,and spices.Today I mixed both Collard and Turnip Greens,but you can use any greens of your choice.
Ingredients
2 bunched of collard greens and 1 bunch turnips or any greens of your choice
2 smoked turkey drumsticks
Season salt to taste
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 tsp black pepper
1 stick butter
1 tsp brown sugar
2 cups water to boil the smoked turkey
3 cups beef stock
1 tsp pepper flakes (optional)
2 tablespoons garlic powder
