In 2023 we held the Loud Poets Slam Series, a nation-wide tournament across Scotland featuring regional heats in Inverclyde, Dumfries, Dundee, Inverness, Aberdeen, and Edinburgh. The winners and runners-up from each heat qualified for compete at our Grand Slam Final at the Edinburgh International Book Festival! The Final took place on 26th August 2023 and was utterly electric, with a sold-out audience 300 strong.
The slam was hosted by Kevin Mclean and featured sacrificial poet Hannah Lavery. Our judges were Hannah Lavery, Kate Seiler, and Katie Ailes. It featured musical accompaniment from Jack Hinks.
