Hey family, welcome back to Everything’s Major. For today’s episode we’re making the BEST and easiest BBQ dinner. On the menu we have delicious juicy oven baked BBQ wings, with a flavorful brown sugar baked beans, and some southern styled potato salad.
So without further ado, let’s make it MAJOR!!
BBQ DINNER (BEST & EASIEST).
GROCERY LIST 🛒
INGREDIENTS USED:
Avocado Oil
Chicken seasonings ( Mix 1 teaspoon of all seasonings together in a bowl)
Kosher Salt, Seasoning Salt, Cajun Seasoning, Black Pepper, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Thyme, Sweet paprika, and Parsley.
Hawaiian BBQ Sauce
2 Can of 28oz of Baked Beans
2 Tablespoons of Butter
1 Purple onion
1 Green pepper
1 Jalapeño Pepper
1 Shallot
Italian Sausage
1/2 Cup of Brown Sugar or more 😊
1/2 Cup of BBQ Sauce or more 😊
1/4 Cup of Ketchup
1/4 Cup of Mustard
1 Tablespoon of Liquid Smoke
1 Tablespoon of Garlic Paste
1 Tablespoon of Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 teaspoon of Onion & Garlic Powder
3 lbs of Yukon Gold potatoes add 1 Teaspoon of salt (boiling potatoes)
1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons yellow mustard
1/4 cup sweet pickle relish
1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
1/4 cup finely chopped celery
Splash of apple cider vinegar
1 Delicious Red apple
1 tablespoon sugar (adjust to taste)
1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon of sweet paprika
Pinch of Cayenne pepper
INSTRUCTIONS:
Chicken
BRINE: in a sugar, salt, and water solution.
Drizzle avocado oil all over chicken.
Season chicken with seasonings mentioned above. Place chicken on wire rack and bake on 400 degrees for an hour flipping wings over half way through cooking time.
Baked Beans
Dice and sauté veggies mentioned above, then add in Italian sausage. Add in your baked beans, BBQ sauce, ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, liquid smoke, Worcestershire sauce, garlic and onion powder. Bake on 350 for 45 to 60 minutes.
Southern Styled Potato Salad
3 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes add 1 Teaspoon of salt (boiling potatoes)
Bring the water to a boil and simmer the potatoes for about 15-20 minutes, or until a fork tender. (DO NOT OVER COOK POTATOES)
Drain the potatoes and let them cool to room temperature.
In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, yellow mustard, sweet pickle relish, red onion, celery, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, black pepper, paprika, and pinch cayenne pepper.
Mix the dressing ingredients until well combined. Taste and adjust the seasonings if needed.
Once the potatoes have cooled, peel and chop them into bite-sized cubes.
Gently fold the chopped potatoes into the dressing mixture. Be careful not to overmix to maintain their shape.
Top with hard boiled eggs with chopped fresh parsley, and sweet paprika.
Cover the potato salad with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least a couple of hours. Sometimes, I eat within 30 minutes 😂.
Adjust the seasonings and ingredients to suit your taste preferences. Taste buds are not created equally!
