We launched the first Hemp Dog Cart at the Richmond Bacon Fest to celebrate the 5th Annual Hemp History Week, a national grassroots education campaign June 2-8, 2014 nationawide to renew strong support for hemp farming in the United States. Hemp Dog Café® will be the first restaurant to offer a complete menu prepared with nutritious hemp seeds, hemp flour, hemp milk and hemp oil. Come out and try a delicious Hemp Dog®, the healthiest hot dog on the planet! Jason Amatucci, founder of the Virginia Industrial Hemp Coalition was there giving away some awesome hemp products to educate Virginia on the benefits of farming hemp once again in our state. Hemp History Week features a national retailer program with over 1,000 participating stores, local events, restaurant participants, and hemp product sampling. The campaign also features a Take Action petition drive to encourage the Obama administration and Congress to change federal policy and allow American farmers to once again grow industrial hemp.
