• Z Grills 700D4E Wood Pellet Grill
• cherry pellets
Ingredients:
• Chicken wings
• 1 cup pickle juice for brine (2-4 hours)
• 2 tbsp. bourbon
• 4 tbsp. brown sugar
• 1/2 tbsp. onion powder
• 1/2 tbsp. garlic powder
• 1/2 tbsp. paprika
• Some Kosher salt
• 16 mesh black pepper
Instructions:
1. Start by marinating the chicken wings in pickle juice for 2-4 hours.
2. In a separate bowl, mix bourbon, brown sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, kosher salt, and black pepper to create a basting sauce.
3. Remove the wings from the pickle juice and pat them dry, ensuring they are completely dry.
4. Preheat your Z Grills pellet grill to 425°F (218°C) for 15 minutes.
5. Arrange the dried wings on a wire rack and baste both sides of the wings with the prepared sauce. Place them on the Z Grills grate.
6. After 15 minutes, baste the wings again, then remove them from the wire rack and place wings directly on the grates.
7. Cook the wings for about 10 minutes, turning them once halfway through.
8. Check the internal temperature using a meat thermometer. Pull the wings off the grill when they reach your desired temperature (recommended: 165°F-185°F).
9. Serve the pickleback chicken wings hot and enjoy dipping them in blue cheese dressing.
