Transplant Shock
Change: Instead of activating the soil day before and applying our transplant compost tea day of transplant, we activated soil over almost a week. A good change but not when you use compost tea instead of purified water to activate the soil. Plus, we transplanted before was done #cooking.
As a result, our #plants went from looking super healthy to literally dying within 3 days. First time ever had that happen. After #rootcauseanalysis , we decided to use our #fixit tea on day seven (day would feed again). #medicaltea to the rescue. Within days, all the plants started to recover.
In the end, we lost one plant. The one with worst #transplantshock. We’ve highlighted the second worst #recovery in the pictures.
#test change in #controlledenvironmentagriculture before #implement
One thing we preach is before you make a process change and/or ingredient change, test it out first. Well what we assumed to be a minor change with minimal risk ended up being a change that caused major issues. Never make assumptions. Always validate or invalidate them.
A plant that grows naturally from the ground and has been used for millennia for medicinal purposes by different cultures around the world should never be criminalized due to political and racial factors.
