INGREDIENTS AND STEPS:
* * 3 pound mock tender steak thinly sliced against the grain of the muscle
* Add the following ingredients to marinate the steak: pinch of baking soda, 3 cloves of minced garlic, Tbsp of minced ginger,tsp of dark soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of light soy sauce, 1 1/2 Tbsp of cornstarch, one and a half tablespoons of honey, which may be substituted with 1 teaspoon of brown sugar or molasses, and a half tablespoons of cooking oil, 1 tsp of bouillon of any kind. Mix to combine thoroughly and set aside for at least 20 minutes.
* Vegetables needed are as follows: to each red and green bell peppers and white or sweet large onions all cut into bite-size pieces or thick strips.
* Make the slurry by combining the following ingredients: 1 & 1/2 tbsp of cornstarch, 1/2 tsp of bouillon , pinch of salt, 1/2 tsp of crushed black pepper and 1/2 a cup of water. Adjust the amount of water to make more or less sauce around the pepper steak
* 3 extra cloves of garlic minced, and one more Tbsp of minced ginger for stir frying the vegetables
* 4 to 6 tablespoons of cooking oil for stir-fry
Total cooking time is under 10 minutes. Start on high heat and add cooking oil to the wok. Place the marinated steak into the hot wok, spread out, allow to sear for 1-2 minutes before stirring. Continue stir, frying until all the pink is gone from the steak, then add all the vegetables, remainder of minced, garlic and ginger stir-fry for under a minute, add slurry and and stir till thickened, and serve.
