In the 1960’s Mobster Sylvan Fats was head of the Philly Jewish Mob. The brilliant 650 lbs. con-artist took part in several swindles and was worth millions. He took on the nickname Cherry Hill Fats early in his career as he came from the Cherry Hill neighborhood in Philly.
But I am not here to speak on Mr Fats but instead the flower strain he inspired brought to us by Treehouse. AKA Deep Freeze Treehouse.
Treehouse has been in the game for forever working at one the first dispensaries in San Francisco on Geary with Berner. Berner was a bud tender there and got the owners to sell his first batch of Cookies at that club.
Berner and Treehouse went in very different directions though. Treehouse chose to stay underground for many years bringing game changing Flavors taking on the nickname Flavor God. He has been working with folks like The Gooniez release the top of the top shelf flavors like the real peanut butter and jelly, the real wedding cake, and their Award Winning Guava Cake.
So let’s see what this Cherry Hill Fats is all about. First off, as of writing this the Cherry Hill Fats Strain has a very small foot print on the Internet as I believe I got one of the bags on a limited release first run.
The genetics of this proprietary Treehouse strain are unknown. I have smoked a lot of cherry strains, from Cherry AK, Cherry Kush and Cherry Pie. I have never seen or smelt a cherry strain like this.
The bud are a very light bright green with purple hue highlights and socially distanced orange hairs that are hard to see under the layers and layers of crystal trichromes.
Yo but its the aroma that got me though. Such a unique cherry scent. There is a very forward sweet cherry nose complemented by very delicate creamy vanilla notes. Nothing like I have every smelt before with a cherry strain. Its as if Jungle Boys version of Wedding Cake and just the Cherry from Cannatique’s Lemon Cherry Gelato were crossed. Perfection.
Often time flowers will not taste like they smell. I recently saw that with the Italian Ice by the Backpack boys, they were not able to get the pineapple tropical punch scents to come through on the flavor.
This was not the case with Treehouse’s Cherry Hill Fats, that same amazing sweet vanilla cherry nose comes through on both the inhale and exhale.
The inhale begins with sweet cherry notes with light earthiness and gentle creaminess. The exhale maintains the sweet cherry notes losing the earthiness making way for more creamy notes to come out.
The high was heavy and fast acting. I was like whoa. A very pleasant balance of head and body high. The Cherry Hill Fats strain is nice for pain relief and anxiety.
So was it worth the money and would I buy it again? Yes, the flavor profile and nose is out of this world and you can understand why they call Treehouse #FlavorGod.
Where can it be found? Treehouse has recently started working Cookies and you can sometimes find his flowers there but they sell out quick. As of writing this, I don’t believe this strain has been release publicly though.
