The University of Colorado published a study earlier this week, with a headline, that said “Marjiuna can make workouts more fun, but it is no performance enhancer”.
I thought the headline was misleading, because when I actually read into the article, the study was only done on 42 runners. It blows my mind that institutions can publish such definitive headlines when their sample size is so small and fails to capture a diverse group of subjects. They only studied runners on treadmills and did not account for other physical activities such as yoga or weightlifting for example.
I know for a fact, that hundreds and thousands of you have shared with me that you use weed either before exercise and physical activity or after as post workout recovery. Many of you have shared your personal experience that it has positively impacted the way you exercise specifically helping with mind muscle connection and faster recovery. Now I’m not a research institute by any means, but based on the community feedback here, doesn’t it suggest that the plant is performance enhancing/altering?
I’d love to see more research done on plant use prior and post physical activity across a much larger sample size and much more diverse set of activity!
Do you use the plant before or after physical activity? What’s your experience with it like? Let me know in the comments!
