STEP 1: (at 1:10) Crumble the Cannabis – Crumble it up to about rice or barley-size and put it in the mason jar.

STEP 2: (at 1:21) Put rack or cloth on the bottom of your Instant Pot. This is because you don’t want EXTREME temperature to touch the jar.
STEP 3: (at 1:33) Add 2 to 3 cups of water to the Instant Pot. We use 2 1/2 cups – works great!
STEP 4: (at 1:57) Close your mason jar. CHECK OUT THIS HACK! Small piece of cooking twine for easy reopening.
STEP 5: (at 2:34) Put your jar into the Instant Pot
STEP 6: (at 2:51) Close up your Instant Pot
STEP 7: (at 3:13) Set to Pressure-Cook.
Pressure = HIGH
Time = 40 MINUTES
Valve = SEALING
Keep Warm = OFF
STEP 8: (at 4:07) “Quick Release” pressure after the 40 minutes.
Then wait 30 minutes for your jar to cool.
IMPORTANT: be careful – the jar is very hot. Do not place it on a cold surface or it could shatter.
STEP 9: (at 5:11) Open your jar and enjoy your decarboxylated cannabis – next, we’ll be posting a video showing how to infuse the decarbed cannabis into some oil.
We have done a lot of cannabis decarboxylating and tried a few different ways. This method is the best and works perfectly every time.
We got an Instant Pot lately (wanted one for soups & stews anyway) and the quality of the decarboxylated bud is really amazing – and we use the same machine for infusing now, too!
We used to have that slight “burned” smell and taste, no matter how we tried, but with this method, it is absolutely perfect every time.
