Episode 3
We are making Buckwheat cakes for breakfast. These taste just like home!!
Recipe:
SEVERAL HOURS BEFORE/NIGHT BEFORE
Starter:
Dissolve 1 pkg of dry yeast in 3/4 cup of warm water
Add: 2 cups buttermilk
1 tsp salt
2 cups buckwheat flour
2 cups regular flour
In the morning add:
1 tablespoon brown sugar
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda mixed in 1 cup of warm water
If not thin enough add a little more water and bake on a griddle.
