Cannabis-infused butter (cannabutter) is one of the simplest and most common ways to make infused cannabis edibles.
How to make Cannabutter in a Slow Cooker or Crock-Pot for Cannabis infused cooking and baking.

I am using my homegrown Ak-47 Autoflower cannabis flower to make cannabis butter ‘cannabutter’ in a slow cooker. I will use the Cannabutter to bake some edibles at a later date.
I went down a rabbit hole to work this out.
1 oz = 28 g AK-47 Homegrown 15% THC (approx)
Final Butter Weight 239 g
THC only becomes THC after it has been activated by decarboxylation. Prior to decarboxylating it is referred to as THCA.
Multiply the THC% strength by 10.
This gives the percentage of milligrams of THC in 1 gram of cannabis.
15% THC x 10 = 150 mg of per gram of cannabis.
When you decarboxylate the cannabis it changes the THCA to THC and you have to convert for that.
100 mg of THCA = 87.7 mg of THC.
So to convert you need to multiply your mg of THCA by 0.877
150 mg THCA x 0.877 = 131.55 mg
That means I have approximately 131.55 mg of THC in 1 gram of my cannabis.
Multiply the THC in each gram by however many grams you used.
For me that means:
131.55 mg x 28 g = a total of 3683.4 mg of THC.
3683.4 mg divided by 239.2g (my final Cannabutter weight) = 15.39 mg per g.
Each Butter mold leaf weighs 5.9 g
5.9g x 15.39 mg = 90.801mg THC
So each butter mold cannabis leaf potentially contains 90.801 mg THC
I think….

Growing Cannabis is an investment of time. Trying to interpret their needs and constantly self-educate and research has given me a true appreciation for just how much skill and talent goes into growing plants.
There is just so much to learn and understand, I am still a noob. I will never reach the standards of some professional growers, but as a fun and extremely rewarding hobby, homegrown cannabis is awesome.
With these successful harvests behind me, I’m now eager to explore new strains. Currently considering my options, I’m open to suggestions from fellow growers!
The strains I’ve cultivated so far:
AK-47 Auto from 34 Street Seed Company
Magic Melon Autoflower from Humboldt Seed Company
