Almost every woman creator I’ve spoken to, whether it’s in the plant industry or not, has dealt with what I like to call bullsh*t on social media. Of course, being on social media increases our exposure, whether we like it or not. Unfortunately, it’s kind of part of the job (not that it should be). Cannabis is already such a stigmatized topic so I think it’s ever so important that we stick together and show respect for all plant community folks, regardless of what they look like. Even if we see stuff we don’t agree with, just ignore and swipe away, or even block/mute. Online hate and harassment is something that I wish didn’t exist, but unfortunately, it’s inevitable, and we just got to find ways to mitigate and disassociate from the commentary we get online. Because at the end of the day, that schmuck writing that rude or disgusting comment, honestly is probably unhappy with themselves, and their behaviour is more of a reflection of themselves and has nothing to do with you as an individual
