Hello! It is Wednesday, my dudes. And that means it’s time for a review! Today we’re going over some Poddy Mouth flower coming from 417 Craft Cannabis.
Poddy Mouth is described as a 50/50 hybrid with predominantly relaxing effects with an herbal, sweet, and earthy flavor profile. Its lineage is a cross of Mountaintop Mint x Humboldt Pound Cake and originates from Ridgeline Farms. And the potency on this batch in particular stands up to all of the other strains I’ve had from him. Like I’ve been saying, mid 20s THC, high 20s low 30s total Cannabinoid is totally possible with maybe 2% Terpenes or so, on this one. Although sometimes these kinds of flavor profiles can taste sort of plain to me, so it’s possible the terps could be higher than I think.
This batch has an earthy and herbal smell to it with a lightly sweet, baked good, kind of flavor profile. I find it is very similar to a weedy sugar cookie haha especially in a joint or vaporizer. Otherwise, in your bong or bowl, likely not going to have a particular flavor. Just kind of earthy and herbal, much more just like a combusted Cannabis flavor. Given these details and what I know about this strain, already, I’d say it’s probably high in Caryophyllene, Humulene, Myrcene, and maybe some other earthy based Terpenes. Like Ocimene, maybe Carene, and maybe Nerolidol.
Now, on to the effects I got from this. I really think it fits right in to the expected effects. Definitely has a relatively strong euphoric hit from the Myrcene with some nice chilled out and relaxed qualities to it. The intensity between the body high and head high is really what makes this a hybrid strain, for me. It’s not necessarily sedative, but that Myrcene can add a sort of intense euphoric effect that people often relate to anxiety or paranoia. It kind of accentuates some of the negative effects of THC to some people but to others I think it attributes to more sedative effects. So this strain’s classification, socially speaking, probably relies very heavily on the user. But all in all, this strain worked well for day time pain, fatigue, mood lift, and stress relief. And for the right person, it could act as a sleep aid. Just didn’t really do that for me.
So, needless to say, I really have enjoyed this stuff. The Myrcene effects I’m getting out of it can be a bit much, but I was able to find a dosage range for worked alright for me!
