Yet, somehow, Gwyneth Paltrow appears to be overcoming the terrible odds and is quietly dominating California’s cannabis market.
Yes, the same actress who made headlines selling anal sex toys for Father’s Day appears to be one of the only people actually winning in California’s tumultuous cannabis industry.
The Academy Award-winning actress co-owns the most successful celebrity cannabis brand in California, according to a recent report from MJBizDaily. Paltrow is an early investor in Cann, and the brand is conquering the largest legal cannabis market in the world.
The report, based on data from analytics firm Headset, estimated that Paltrow’s weed brand is seeing over $750,000 in sales a month. No other celebrity brand came close to Paltrow’s sales, with her nearly doubling the sales of Seth Rogen’s Houseplant pot brand, her closest celebrity competitor.
To put Paltrow’s chart-topping sales in perspective, a noncelebrity cannabis brand is only bringing in just under $27,000 a month, according to the report. Paltrow’s weed drinks are also outselling pot brands from Mike Tyson, Santana and even Justin Bieber. [Read More @ SFGate]
