Star Kush is an Indica dominant hybrid bred by Top Dawg. A cross between Stardawg + Nigerian Kush, this cultivar comes in at 27.4% THC.
“This Stardawg leaning phenotype stays close to it’s Chemdawg roots,” says Doc, adding “It is about as close to that classic Chemdawg as you are going to find today.”
The buds are plump green with dark green, brown and red hairs. They have a strong pine aroma with notes of Kush, fuel and earth.
The dominant terpenes are: Terpinolene (Floral), Caryophylene (Pepper) and Humulene (Hops).
The taste is complex and delicious. “The Chemdawg linage comes through with pine, menthol, fuel and pepper. “There’s this nice fruity, floral finish, like raspberry. Star Kush has a nice mouth feel, thick, almost garlicky.”
Stardawg is the most potent of the fuel strains. Great for stress relief and anxiety. It also has some analgesic properties for pain relief. A few hits will leave you relaxed, happy and focused.
At $95 a quarter this is an excellent value. “These nice plump buds could have been trimmed a bit better,” says Doc.
