FAQ –
1. Why shadow Zebak? Isn’t Tbow better DPS?
Yes, Tbow is more DPS on Zebak especially when defence reductions (notably BGS) are applied. However, the anguish/zvambs needed to make Tbow beat the shadow are not consistently very useful in any other room to warrant bringing the extra 3 items. As a compromise in speed, I bring accursed sceptre for it’s magic reduction special attack, to bring shadow slightly closer to Tbow’s DPS, and gain +2 inventory spaces as a result (which I then allocate into possibly sun specs for Ba-Ba, and being able to flick less).
2. What’s the webweaver bow for?
This is more specific to the 525/540 raid setups, but it’s a good “chill” way to deal deal with the Path of Amepken puzzle due to it’s long range + relatively low overkill. It’s not as efficient as blowpipe by any means, but it’s another way to save inventory space since the webweaver bow doesn’t need an assembler as it does not consume ammo. I’m currently estimating the average time-loss (in Amepken) to range from 15-20s, as long as I continue to chin the thralls that spawn. I usually just bring an extra restore so I can hard camp piety at Ba-Ba and potentially Kephri/Zebak, depending on how other rooms go. It’s also able to 1 shot Ba-Ba boulders (27 hp), but is unable to swarm at Kephri w/ More Overlords enabled. I have not done enough “swarming” kills to find out how much average time-loss this is for Kephri.
3. Where are the Ultor/Magus rings good?
The ultor is specifically good for overly draining runs, on Baba/Kephri & P2 Warden Core. The magus is good at Akkha, and Obelisk/P3/P4 Wardens. It is also good if you are maging zebak (only slightly worse than BGS Tbow).
