Get ready folks, we’re keeping things simple today.
Total Cook Time: 3 Hours (Depending on size and grill temp)
Ingredients:
Pre-cooked ham
Brown Sugar
Orange Juice
Honey
Step 1. Rub: For this recipe you will want to use a pre-cooked ham. We’re going to use some yellow mustard as our binder today. Once we have applied the yellow mustard we are going to apply the rub. A light layer on all sides.
Step 2. The Cook: Now your ham is ready for the pit. Make sure your pit temp is around 325, we’re going to cook the ham to an internal temp of 130, pull it off, give it a glaze, and put it back on until it hits 140. *I spritz the ham about every 45 minutes with a mixture of Orange Juice (one cup) and Water (2 cups).
Step 3. Glaze: Today’s glaze is going to be very simple, simple but good! Combine all the ingredients listed below and mix until smooth.
Ingredients (for one ham)
Brown Sugar – 1 Cup
Orange Juice – ½ Cup
Honey – ¼ Cup
Step 4. Apply: Once the ham hits an internal temp of 130 you’ll want to pull it off. I set mine on a baking sheet, this helps keep the pit clean when i apply the glaze. I’ll start by pouring the glaze over the ham, then I use a basting brush to gather the dripping and spread them evenly. Once the ham is coated in that beautiful sticky glaze, go ahead and throw it back on the pit.
Step 5. Finish Line: Not long after the ham should be at 140. You can pull it off the pit now and let it rest for about 30 minutes. After the short rest you’re ready to slice it up!
