While the Organization seeks to ultra-homogenize the rank-and-file, Witness culture can vary wildly from Congregation to Congregation, never mind Circuit to Circuit or Country to Country. However, it also fluctuates between Witness families. How a Witness may respond to the truth about “the Truth” can be heavily dependent upon how they were raised and their experiences. JWs are told what to believe, they are handed “fish” and not taught how to fish. Their beliefs require a lack of critical thinking and Biblical analysis in order to maintain any semblance of coherence. And JW’s are forced to eat the fish they are handed under threat of excommunication, even if they privately believe differently.
Religion, Academia, and Politics can brainwash people. We get defensive about our worldviews being confronted and may be set in and certain of our beliefs. So direct attack is not generally the best way to reach another person.
The bible speaks of an unfaithful slave. I suggest you go to the UN website and look up the fact that the Watchtower Society held NGO status with with United Nations, the wild-beast according to Watchtower doctrine. This was a partnership between 1992-2001. This partnership requires that the NGO partner push pro UN news and information, which they subtly did in the Awake. When caught by the guardian, they lied and said they only partnered with the UN to gain access to the UN library, NGO status to access which was not needed until 2003, but, regardless, does library access justify a partnership with the Wildbeast?
