The Stocker Rainbow Trout bite was on fire today, and the yellow Rooster Tail was killing it. I didn’t plan on keeping any fish today but when one took a little too much damage getting the hook out, I decided to make him dinner. I included some bonus footage cleaning, preparing and smoking some Rainbow Trout filets. Recipe below.
This recipe if for about 8 filets, so scale accordingly
Water – 1 Gallon
Kosher Salt – 1/4 cup
Brown Sugar – 1/2 cup
Black Pepper – 1 Teaspoon
Pepper Corns – 1 Sprinkle
Soy Sauce – 2 Tablespoons
Orange Juice – 1-2 Splashes
Smoke for approx 1.5 – 2 hours. Boom
