Gabapentin is often prescribed to help patients avoid opioids or wean off them. However, it’s not uncommon to see both medications stay onboard in practice and have negative consequences. Cannabinoids offer a nice alternative to gabapentin and opioids and knowledge of such benefits needs to expand amongst physicians and other healthcare professionals.
