Part 1 of our latest helping of Angling 360 takes us to the River Trent just outside Newark, where we aim to do what we failed to on our previous trip almost 12 months ago; catch a Barbel. However, it soon becomes evident that this trip might be a tad tricky, with forecasted high winds and a relatively low and clear river.
Nevertheless, we didn’t travel 300 miles to be beaten by a bit of a breeze.
Day one sees us arrive early after travelling through the night, and we’re as determined as ever.
