Hey everyone! It’s Cob. I’ve been loving delta-8 THC for the last few months and figured I’d start reviewing all the different products I’m trying. I’ll also use these reviews to update you on the CobCast.
I’ve got to be honest, I probably won’t buy one of these again unless I’m just trying to burn some money. And, why would I do that? The packaging is undoubtedly cool, but I’d rather that money go into increasing the delta-8 potency.
I wanted to get high (or whatever you want to call that feeling you get after taking a fat rip of D8), so I went down to my local smoke shop and dropped $32 on a Packwoods Los Angeles delta-8 pre-roll joint. I sparked it up and after smoking about half, I was surprised. I felt sober, or, not D8’ed up. The lab report summary for the product listed the delta-8 potency as 64%. In the expanded lab report, there was a different number. So, I’m not sure what to believe, but it really just felt like I was smoking CBD, meaning no psychoactive effects.
Have you ever tried one of these? If not, what have you tried? What’s your favorite D8 product and why? I want to know, so tell me in the comments.
What’s delta-8 THC and why is it legal?
Delta-8 is the legal, less potent psychoactive cannabinoid derived from hemp. Its stronger, illegal cousin, the stuff we all wish we could consume in the Lone Star State, is Delta-9 THC. Delta-8 and other cannabinoids like CBD became accessible in Texas in 2019 after Gov. Gregg Abbott signed House Bill 1325, legalizing the cultivation, possession and sale of industrial hemp that contains less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC.
