Hey there, I’m Angela Boyle, the proud Owner and Founder of Lobster Leaf Co. I’m on a mission to bring awareness and support to non-profits advocating for fair and responsible cannabis use. My journey to creating this brand has been a personal one.
In 2002, I was in a car accident with my cousin and my 4-year-old son. I broke both bones in my left leg and was sent home on OXYCOTIN. As a single mom, I had no idea what I was taking, just following doctor’s orders for pain relief. The side effects were overwhelming, and I found myself struggling to care for my son.
Realizing the negative impact of the medication, I turned to cannabis for pain relief and found a remarkable difference. My recovery went from feeling depressed and alone to relaxed, alert, and functional, which are essential for raising children.
However, another challenge arose when a company I had supported for years took a turn, and I found myself on medical leave, feeling abandoned. Placed on antidepressants, I felt numb and emotionless, far from who I am. Turning to cannabis once again, I found relief and began to rediscover my drive and creative thinking.
I decided I wanted to be the story, the vision, not just drive someone else’s. I wanted to give back, to support others as I had been supported. I started educating myself, designing logos, sourcing products, and finally, Lobster Leaf Co. was born.
My primary goal has always been to support non-profits advocating for fair and responsible cannabis use. I’m proud to now sit on the Board of Directors for MCU, building relationships and growing with knowledge of the true struggles of the cannabis industry.
My journey has led me to the New England Made Trade Show, and I couldn’t be prouder. Despite being torn down and made to feel less than in an industry I love, I always find the positive in the negative.
