One of the differences I’ve noticed on my tolerance break is that I’ve started to have dreams again! This is because cannabis compounds hinder our ability to enter the REM sleep cycle (although this doesn’t apply to everyone). I sometimes still have dreams even when I’m consuming, but they’re definitely more vivid and memorable when I’m on my break.
My approach to my relationship with cannabis has always been to use it as an enhancement to my life, in a mindful manner. As long as cannabis is improving my life and not harming others, I will continue to use it. In my personal life, the positives outweigh any potential “negatives”. I’m always evolving and learning, so things may change one day. But based on the knowledge and tools I have in my current life, I will be returning to cannabis after my tolerance break.
