Needing A Meeting was started because I was looking for a more organic, free-flowing approach to recovery than other recovery programs have traditionally offered.
What has been discovered along the way is that we are a community of many varied interests and concerns. Anyone can come on live and talk about anything. All that we ask is that everyone be open, honest and respectful and that each person own what they share. In other words, what is being asked is to talk from your own experience and don’t proselytize or put someone else down for what they share. This is not about trying to bring anyone over to this or that side, because this is not an “us versus them” thing. This is a just us thing, and what we find in our honesty and openness is that we have more that we can understand about each other than we might have presupposed.
What we are ultimately about is helping each other move away from destructive behaviors and getting better. Connection helps.
Live meetings via Youtube are at 3:40pm, US Central Standard Time, Monday through Friday. Any additional meetings are TBD as the need arises.
