Donald Trump is finding out that the problem with filling the judicial benches with conservative judges is that they often rule conservatively. At a time when Trump is trying to distance himself from rulings on abortion, conservative judges keep throwing political land mines in his path.
When Trump welcomes House Speaker Mike Johnson for a joint press conference at Mar-a-Lago today, it will be an embarrassing display. The two are expected to continue to push election lies and call for a law preventing non-citizens from voting. The trouble is, that’s already the law.
