Dr Gray earned his MD and PhD at Case Western Reserve University, and completed a psychiatry residency at UC San Francisco where he became interested in they synaptic basis of neuropsychiatric disorders. Dr. Gray’s lab has shown that psychedelics have the potential for facilitating resetting of dysfunctional brain circuits. He discusses the history of psychedelics in Western medicine from discovery and early clinical trials, through prohibition and current medical renaissance, as well as where we go from there.
