This smoked sweet potato recipe came out of my curiosity for the flavors. I am a big fan of sweet potatoes roasted on an open fire, so I thought this would definitely work. Smoking the sweet potatoes before definitely gave it a bit of smokiness inside the pie. Reducing the amount of sugar as well really set it off.
