In 2023 we held the Loud Poets Slam Series, a nation-wide tournament across Scotland featuring regional heats in Inverclyde, Dumfries, Dundee, Inverness, Aberdeen, and Edinburgh. The winners and runners-up from each heat qualified for compete at our Grand Slam Final at the Edinburgh International Book Festival! The Final took place on 26th August 2023 and was utterly electric, with a sold-out audience 300 strong. The slam was hosted by Kevin Mclean and featured sacrificial poet Hannah Lavery.
