Janet Hardy was the Director of Palliative Care at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London prior to her move to Australia in 2003. She has recently retired from her clinical position as the Director of Palliative and Supportive Care at Mater Health Services in Brisbane, but maintains her research position as Cancer Program Leader in the Mater Research Institute. She holds a chair in Palliative Medicine from the University of Queensland.
